CEC invests in people again!

Cornwall Environmental Consultants (CEC) Ltd, based at Allet near Truro is proud to have successfully retained Investors In People status for the second time running, having passed with flying colours!

The specialist environmental company attained its first Investors In People award back in 2004 – three years on and their performance has improved even further.  Consultancy Manager Phil Hills is pleased that this has been  recognised with such an important accreditation.  Phil said:

“We have worked hard to continue to invest in our staff and ensure their working life is rewarding, enjoyable and productive and that they are fully involved in company development.  Training and staff development is central to our development plans”.

In addition to the existing induction, appraisal and professional training programmes CEC has introduced a client feedback system and undertaken management training for senior staff.

The company currently employs 13 full-time and 3 part-time staff, and is growing year on year, having doubled turnover since 2004.  The company supplies professional consultancy services in Ecology and Landscape Architecture and specialist Graphic Design services for GIS mapping, site interpretation and natural history publications.  Working throughout Cornwall and the South West, CEC is planning further growth and aims to achieve the quality assurance standard ISO 9001 in the near future.
